Pholc – Mobil 18

“Give me a lamp that would look great in a New York loft,” Monika Mulder said to herself before sharpening her pencil and starting to design Mobil. She thought of the American city with its distinctive balconies and iron fire escapes that adorn the tall red brick buildings in its bohemian neighborhoods before crossing the East River on the Brooklyn Bridge, where she found the inspiration for Mobil.

The design is imbued with a bohemian expression, and just as Monika Mulder intended, the lamp has an elegance that is worthy of a New York loft – but it looks equally beautiful in minimalist and traditional Scandinavian homes. Scandinavian design traditions have not been forgotten, and as is always the case with Pholc lamps, Mobil embodies simplicity and elegant minimalism.
